I live in an apartment building. I'm on the top floor; someone lives below me. For the longest time, I heard no sound in my bedroom. Then, the neighbor below me purchased a wide screen television with stereo sound. You know, one of those big ones. She placed the television way up on a tall stand, making the television approximately four feet from her ceiling.

The sound was unbearable. The first thing I did was to soundproof by having material blown into the space between the floors. Maybe 85-90% of the sound was abated. But not all of it. More needed to be done.

I appreciate all the time you spent explaining the products to me and how they work. It is not often in today's world that the consumer is not rushed. I purchased the heavier grade Acoustic Vinyl Barrier and had two layers applied to my bedroom floor. It works. I no longer hear the neighbor's television.

Talk about quality of life. Now I can sleep in peace.
