How to Wrap a Pipe Using QUIET WRAP ™ Materials

Materials needed: QUIET WRAP ™ Product, TY-RAP®, and Heavy Duty Snips

Tools needed: Utility knife, Eye protection, and Gloves

1.    The outer surface of the pipe should be clean and free of dust, dirt, or any substance that would hinder the installation of the QUIET WRAP ™ product.
2.    Start the material at an angle, make several turns around the pipe, and adjust so that the edges of the QUIET WRAP ™ product butt together tightly. (See photo A)

3.    Install the first TY-RAP® and cut off excess with Heavy Duty Snips. (See photo B)

4.    Continue wrapping the pipe and finish with the second TY-RAP®. (See photo C)

5.    Start the next piece by overlapping the end of the previous strip by 1/2 inch and wrap around pipe. Fasten with third TY-RAP®.
6.    Install the fourth TY-RAP® to completely secure the material around the pipe. (See photo D)

7.    Continue until pipe is completely covered. Using the TY-RAP® as a guide, trim the excess material with the utility knife. (See photo E) Cut off the excess from the TY-RAPS® using the Heavy Duty Snips. (See photo F)
